Minnea ("we," "us," or "the app") is an iOS app that turns photos into a printed hardcover photo book we fulfil and ship. We respect your privacy and built Minnea to use your data only to design, print, and deliver the book you order. This policy explains what we do and don't collect.
Minnea needs access to photos you select via Apple's system photo picker. We do not browse or upload your entire library – only the images you pick for an album.
Selected photos are uploaded to our servers so we can compose page layouts and create the print-ready file. Photos are used only to design and print the book you (or the album owner) order.
If you use Collaborate, invited people can add their own photos to the shared album. Those photos are uploaded and used the same way: to compose and print the shared book. Album owners can approve what goes into the book.
We do not use your photos for advertising, training unrelated AI models, or sharing with anyone except our print partner as needed to fulfil your order (see below).
To print and deliver your book, we collect the recipient name and shipping address you enter at checkout. Your last-used shipping details may be saved on your device to pre-fill a future order – you can edit or clear them anytime. The same details are sent with your order so we can fulfil it.
Payments are processed by Stripe and Apple Pay. Card numbers and payment credentials are handled by those providers. We receive a payment confirmation and reference so we can link payment to your order – not your full card number.
Minnea does not require a traditional account signup. We do not collect your email address inside the app today. If you contact support, you email us from your own mail app (for example via a mailto: link) – that conversation is email, not in-app data collection.
Draft albums, layout choices, local photo references (so drafts can resume), and your last shipping prefill may be stored on your device. Removing the app deletes on-device data.
We do not collect analytics or usage analytics. The current app does not ship a third-party crash or advertising SDK.
If you use your device's share sheet (for example to send an invite link), that action is controlled by you and the app you share to. We are not able to see content you share through other apps.
We keep photos and order files only as long as needed to design, print, deliver, and support your order, then delete them within a reasonable period. Order records needed for accounting or legal reasons are kept as required by law. Email us to request deletion (see Contact).
If you are in the EU/EEA (or another region with similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Minnea is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
